P6-M facility for CICL unveiled in Bago City

BACOLOD CITY â€“ The Bago City government in Negros Occidental recently unveiled a P6-million youth development center for children in conflict with the law (CICL) and children at risk (CAR) in Barangay Lag-asan.

Mayor Nicholas Yulo and Vice Mayor Ramon Torres led the blessing and inauguration of the halfway home within the compound of the Bago City Police Station on Tuesday, November 21.

It was funded through the Local Council for the Protection of Children (LCPC) Fund and Development Fund.

Children will be sheltered at the facility while processing their placement to Bahay Pag-asa and other institutions, securing their safety and making sure that all services afforded by the law are provided.

The blessing of the facility was officiated by Rev. Fr. Jesmar Manato, parish priest of the Saint John the Baptist Church in Bago City.
