Las Piñas LGU hosts mass wedding for 115 couples

The city government of Las Piñas hosted a “Kasalang Bayan” (mass wedding) for 115 couples on Nov. 24 at the Verdant covered court in Barangay Pamplona Tres.

Vice- Mayor April Aguilar who officiated the ceremony, said the mass wedding is an initiative of the city government to provide the 115 couples with a memorable start to their matrimonial journey.

Aguilar told the couples that the Kasalang Bayan program is a hallmark initiative that offers a cost-free wedding experience to its residents.

She said the cost-free wedding includes the filing of applications, notarization, and the issuance of marriage certificates.

She added that through the generosity of Mayor Imelda Aguilar and the Office of the Vice Mayor, each couple was provided with wedding essentials such as rings, a ceremonial cake, wine, and gift tokens.

Aguilar said the city government continues to demonstrate its commitment to its citizens, not only through infrastructural development and public services, but also by nurturing the social and cultural fabric of the city.

She expressed her joy and best wishes for the newlyweds.
