Dahlia Flores, owner of the salon which also has a branch in Japan, said it was a dream come true for her to establish a salon.

"Bata pa talaga ako ang hilig-hilig ko na magpaganda. Sabi ko balang araw, paglaki ko magtatayo ako ng salon," Dahlia said. (I was really young when I started putting makeup and making myself beautiful. I said one day, when I grow up, I will build a salon.)

What Dahlia did was study about eyelashes and nails in Japan and in the Philippines. In Japan, she stayed there for 21 years. "Isa isa ko siyang pinag-aralan hanggang sa natutunan ko ito." (I studied them one by one until I learned it.)

Dahlia provided some useful advice on how to effectively manage a salon business.

Three things are necessary: dedication, commitment, and love for your staff. "Dapat team kayo sa trabaho. Bawat isa may malaking participation or contribution so dapat magtulungan kami." (You should be a team at work. Everyone has a big participation or contribution so we must work together.)
