Su Braimoh was back to his dominant ways while Chris Banchero made a resounding return from injury as Meralco zapped TNT, 109-95 in the 2023 PBA Commissioner's Cup at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City on Sunday, Nov. 26.

Braimoh exploded for 37 points this time after struggling last time out in the Bolts' first loss to San Miguel Beer, while joining hands with Banchero and Chris Newsome to spoil a 47-point explosion from Tropang Giga import Rondae Hollis-Jefferson.
Meralco, buoyed by the timely hits from Banchero who has recently recovered from a hamstring injury, unloaded a back-breaking 12-1 run that turned a tight 91-89 lead into a comfortable 103-90 cushion with 4:21 left in the final frame.
TNT never recovered from there, allowing Meralco to pick up its third win in four games and get a share of the second spot with Phoenix, which sports a similar 3-1 card.
Banchero made sure to announce his return in style, dropping 18 points including the huge and-1 play that somehow restored order for Meralco when TNT cut the deficit to just two midway through the payoff period
Newsome added 12 points, half of which came during the telling run for the Bolts before they exclusively went to Braimoh in the waning minutes to carry them home.
Braimoh also added 10 rebounds, three steals and two blocks to complete an all-around effort.
Meralco actually led by as many as 10 points in the first half but TNT kept coming in the final two quarters with Hollis-Jefferson leading the charge.
The Tropang was actually still trailing by 10 heading into the fourth before Hollis-Jefferson presided over a 14-6 blast to cut the lead down to just two.
Hollis-Jefferson added 12 rebounds to the splendid night but still lacked support from his local crew with only Jayson Castro finishing in double figures with 19.
The loss snapped TNT's two-game winning streak for a 2-2 record in the middle of the standings.
