Bets on birthdays bring QC lotto patron life-changing fortune
A 50-year-old resident of Quezon City has won the P107.5 million Mega lotto 6/45 draw after playing the lottery for almost 28 years.

The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) announced on Sunday, Nov. 26, that the lucky winner purchased his winning ticket from a lotto outlet at Barangay Pinyahan in Quezon City.
Betting on the birthdates of his relatives—13, 31, 16, 1, 25, and 10—he won the jackpot in the Mega lotto 6/45 draw held on Nov. 6.

PCSO said the winner, who was a lotto patron for nearly three decades, claimed his prize at the PCSO Main Office in Mandaluyong City on Nov. 10.
He told PCSO that he had initially "harbored doubts" about winning but remained committed to contributing to the agency's charity fund to assist the less fortunate.
He then shared his plans to invest his winnings in various business ventures and allocate a portion for savings.
The PCSO reminded the public that winners of lotto prizes exceeding P10,000.00 must exclusively claim their prizes at the PCSO Main Office.
Winners must also sign the back of the winning ticket, provide two valid government IDs for verification, and adhere to the 20 percent tax on prizes under the TRAIN Law.
The Mega lotto 6/45 draw is held every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 9 p.m., with live telecasts on the PCSO Official Facebook Page.
