The faithful are invited to visit the Christ the King Chapel inside the Manila Cathedral in Intramuros, Manila which will be opened to the public on Sunday, Nov. 26, in observance of the Solemnity of Christ and King.

“The Christ the King Chapel inside the Manila Cathedral will be open for all the faithful who may want to pray. Holy Masses in celebration of the Solemnity of Christ the King will be at 8 a.m., 10 a.m., and at 6 p.m.,” the Manila Cathedral said in a Facebook post.
In all Catholic churches across the country, the Blessed Sacrament will be carried in solemn religious processions, followed by the prayer of benediction and the consecration to Christ the King.
The Act of Reparation and the Act of Dedication to Christ the King will also be prayed during the mass.
The Solemnity of Christ the King, King of the Universe is a feast which emphasizes the true kingship of Jesus Christ.
It was instituted by Pope Pius XI in 1925.
The Lutheran, Anglican, Moravian, Methodist, Nazarene , Reformed and United Protestant churches also celebrate the feast.
In the Catholic Church, the solemnity marks the end of its liturgical calendar and signals the beginning of the Season of Advent the following Sunday, Dec. 3.
