The HD Spikers needed only 73 minutes in crushing the Chameleons to register their seventh win against three losses and remain at fourth place.
The victory also erased their stinging five-set defeat against Chery Tiggo last Tuesday, Nov. 21.
Lefty spiker Jovelyn Gonzaga anchored Cignal with 12 points built on nine kills and three blocks, while Roselyn Doria and Vanie Gandler also stepped up with identical 12 points.
Skipper Ces Molina also continued to dominate the offensive lane with 11 points highlighted by two aces.
The HD Spikers took advantage of the Chameleons’ weak net defense by bombarding them with attacks on all angles, finishing with 43 team kills.
They also exposed Nxled’s weak reception by firing seven aces.
Lycha Ebon, May Luna and Camille Victoria tried to lift Nxled back into the winning column after absorbing a straight-set beating from Creamline last Thursday, Nov. 23, but the trio could only score six points apiece.
Only three other members also managed to score for the Chameleons with Jho Maraguinot posting five points, Krich Macaslang with four, and Judith Abil with one.
Overall, Nxled only registered 24 kills, two blocks and two aces.
