Gov. Fernando cites determination, resilience of 'Gintong Kabataan' awardees

Bulacan Governor Daniel R. Fernando recognized the determination and resilience displayed by the youth awardees of the Gintong Kabataan Awards 2023 held at The Pavilion in Hiyas ng Bulacan Convention Center in the City of Malolos on Friday, Nov. 24.

“I take pride in you, young Bulakenyos. It is true that your generation is very special because you have been shaped by the challenges of the present time. You witnessed how we were brought down by the pandemic, as well as our resurgence as a united family," he said in his message delivered by his chief of staff Atty. Nikki M. Coronel.

“Amidst all of this, we have seen the determination and resilience of each one of you, and I am confident that the future of our great nation is secure in your hands,” Fernando said.

Meanwhile, Vice Governor Alexis C. Castro congratulated the 2023 Gintong Kabataan awardees including the 10 individuals who also received 2023 Gintong Kabataan Special Citations.

The Gintong Kabataan awardees were Ariosto Dale C. Bagtas from Guiguinto (Visual Arts) and Folk Jumpers (Group) from Bustos for Gintong Kabataan sa Larangan sa Sining at Kultura; Xian Cameron D. Diaz from Plaridel (Secondary) for Gintong Kabataan sa Larangan ng Kagalingang Pang-Akademya at Agham; Giulius Ceazar S. Iapino from Norzagaray for Gintong Kabataan sa Larangan ng Entreprenyur; John Joshua P. Cudia from City of Malolos (Individual) and Marcelo H. Del Pilar Chapter National Eagle Scout Association from Calumpit (Group) for Gintong Kabataan sa Larangan ng Paglilingkod sa Pamayanan.

Other awardees were Laurence Marvin S. Castillo from the City of Malolos (Professional), Glenn Maenard A. Faustino from the City of Baliwag (Skilled), and Fernan O. Dealca from Calumpit (Government) for the Gintong Kabataan sa Larangan ng Manggagawa; Christian Joseph D. Jasmin from Bustos (Individual) for Gintong Kabataan sa Larangan ng Isports; Ronalyn B. Pordan from the City of San Jose del Monte for Gintong Kabataan sa Larangan ng SK Federation President, and the Barangay Dakila, City of Malolos for Gintong Kabataan sa Larangan ng SK Federation Council.

Ten individuals also received 2023 Gintong Kabataan Special Citations including Angelo C. Jacobo from Plaridel, Bianca Patricia T. Reyes and Ivez Lexandrei R. Santos from Hagonoy, Lyonas T. De Leon and Mikaela S. Aban from the City of Baliwag, Juliuz Roch A. Dela Cruz from Pandi, Angela Dana M. Alegre and Mark Angelo M. Blanco from the City of Meycauayan, Angelica Kim G. Evangelio, and Athena Yshelle D.Ysit from the City of San Jose del Monte.

GKA awardees were each given a trophy and a cash prize amounting to P10,000 for individuals and P20,000 for the group, while the Gintong Kabataan Special Citations each received a trophy.

The GKA is a prestigious award-giving program of the Provincial Government of Bulacan through the Provincial Youth, Sports, and Public Employment Service Office (PYSPESO) with the National Youth Commission Region 3.

It aims to recognize Bulakenyo youth who showed excellence and exemplary performances in their respective fields.
