'Ang galing galing!': Quimbo celebrates Marikina centenarian's birthday

Marikina City 2nd district Rep. Stella Quimbo appears mighty impressed with her constituent, Nanay Aurora.

But how could she not be, after learning that Nanay Aurora had turned 100 years old. That's already 28 years longer than the average life expectancy in the Philippines.

"Wow grabe! Ang galing galing ni Nanay Aurora! (Oh my! That's awesome Nanay Aurora!)" Quimbo, senior vice chairperson of the House Committee on Appropriations, wrote in a Facebook post on Thursday, Nov. 23.

The upload came with photos of the lady solon's visit to Nanay Aurora's abode in Barangay Sto. NiÃ±o. Unfortunately, she wasn't around.

"Kasalukuyan syang nasa ospital ngayon at nagpapagaling kaya nagvideocall tayo sa kanya kasama ang kanyang pamilya (She's currently in the hospital right now and is recuperating, that's why me and her family just spoke to her via videocall)," Quimbo said.

Get well soon, Nanay!
