The Social Security System (SSS) has issued violation notices against eight business employers in Sun Valley and Merville, Parañaque City, for failing to remit contributions.
In a statement, the SSS reported that a sum of P1.7 million in contributions, along with corresponding penalties, went unpaid by the employers, impacting around 82 employees.
Juliet T. Bolinao, SSS Bicutan-Sun Valley Branch head, along with Jun-Cel V. Dalusong, the account officer, and Aimee A. Abarientos, the accounts management head, served the violation notices to the non-compliant employers.
During the Run After Contribution Evaders (RACE) operation, Victorina Pardo-Pajarillo, acting head of the south legal department, held discussions with a representative of one of the delinquent employers to address the outstanding contributions owed by the establishment.
In response to the outstanding balances, SSS officials have urged the employers to engage with the SSS Bicutan-Sun Valley Branch within the next 15 days to rectify the unpaid contributions. Failure to comply may result in civil and criminal cases being filed against the companies for violating the Social Security Act of 2018, or the Republic Act No. 11199.
The SSS continues to guard the rights and welfare protection of employees in the private sector through their strategic RACE operations.
RACE operations began in early March of this year to notify businesses who have yet to submit their contributions to the pension fund. (Gabriell Christel Galang)
