"This recognition serves as a testament to the public's trust and the PCSO's commitment to providing essential services and a more transparent and accessible government," PCSO General Manager Melquiades A. Robles said in a statement on Nov. 24.

"As we strive to meet the demands of the public and uphold the principles of transparency, the PCSO remains steadfast in its commitment to improve its services further and strengthen its engagement with the community," he added.

Robles, Chairman Junie E. Cua, and Assistant General Manager Lauro A. Patiag attended the FOI Summit on Nov. 21 at the Hilton Hotel in Pasay City and received the award from PCO Undersecretary Cherbett Karen Maralit and Assistant Secretary Jefferson Ang.

The agency took the nod of the PCO by achieving a closure rate of at least 90 percent for transactions falling within the range of 250 to 499 requests on the E-FOI.
