The Pasay City government and the Toyota Motor Philippines Corporation signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the “Libreng Sakay sa Pasay” in time for the celebration of the city’s 160th founding anniversary on Dec.2.
The MOA signing was held on Thursday, Nov. 23 at the Conference Room of the Mayor’s Office located at the second floor of Pasay City Hall.
The city government was represented by Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano and Atsuhiro Okamoto, Toyota Motors Philippines Corporation President during the MOA signing.
Rubiano said the city government signed a MOA with the Toyota Motors Philippines Corp. for their project Toyota Community Shuttle giving free rides in Pasay City for one year.
She said the company’s innovative mobility solutions through ‘ my Toyota Shuttle Ph’ service platform chooses the city as the first beneficiaries due to the city government’s initiatives to be ‘a sustainable Ecocity’.
The mayor added the Toyota Shuttle have chosen five routes in the city where the service will be going around namely: Pasay City Hall, Malibay Plaza, Mall of Asia, Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) and Arellano University.
Each shuttle can accommodate at least 10 passengers.
