P13.1-M shabu seized in 24 hours in W. Visayas

ILOILO CITY— Police seized in 24 hours P13.1-million worth of shabu (crystal meth) across the Western Visayas region.

The 1,925 grams of shabu were seized by the different units and offices of Police Regional Office (PRO-6) from 6 a.m. of Nov. 22 to 6 a.m. of Nov. 23.

The biggest haul was the P7.48-million shabu seized in Estancia town, Iloilo province on Thursday morning. A team from the Estancia Municipal Police Station found more than 1.1 kilo of shabu from two major drug suspects known by their aliases of “Michael” and “Arman.”

The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) had the second biggest haul with more than P5 million worth of shabu from an alias “Mar-Mar” and “Rodney.”

The Iloilo City Police Office seized P 476,000 worth of shabu weighing around 70 grams Wednesday night from six drug suspects in Molo district.

The Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office seized P 78, 200 worth of shabu from two drug suspects while the Capiz Police Provincial Office seized P34,000 worth of shabu from one drug suspect.
