The Department of Health (DOH) confirmed 223 new Covid-19 infections on Friday, Nov. 24, contributing to the nation's total count of 4,123,920 infections.

The DOH Covid-19 Tracker, however, showed no new deaths, and the fatality rate remains at 1.6 percent.
As of the latest data, DOH said active cases stand at 3,226 while the recovery rate continues to climb, reaching 98.3 percent with 4,053,939 individuals having successfully recovered, including 200 additional recoveries.
Regarding Covid-19 bed occupancy, the DOH disclosed that 9.38 percent of the 1,844 designated Intensive Care Unit (ICU) beds are currently in use, and non-ICU beds show a 15.74 percent occupancy.
Moreover, out of the 1,993 available mechanical ventilators, DOH said 89 were actively supporting Covid-19 patients.
Despite these positive trends, the DOH urged the public not to become complacent.
It emphasized the ongoing importance of adhering to basic health standards, such as wearing well-fitting face masks, staying in well-ventilated areas, and promptly isolating individuals exhibiting symptoms of Covid-19.
