Cops net more than P1.9-M shabu in QC, Malabon buy-busts

Operatives of Quezon City Police District (QCPD) and Northern Police District (NPD) seized P1,955,000 worth of shabu in a series of buy-bust operations in the cities of Malabon and Quezon  on Nov. 23 and 24.

Novaliches Police Station (PS 4) operatives identified the suspects as Madelaine Grace Dailon, 29, a resident of Barangay Bagbag, Novaliches, Quezon City, and Jhon Delmar Villacorta, 28, of Ugong Sulok, Valenzuela City.

PS 4 operatives, in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency - National Capital Region (PDEA-NCR), conducted the entrapment operation at around 7:10 p.m. on Nov. 23 on Gen. Luis St. beside Villa Nova Subdivision in Barangay Nagkaisang Nayon, Novaliches, Quezon City.

A police officer who acted as a poseur-buyer successfully bought P45,000 worth of shabu from the suspects which led to their arrest.

Police confiscated from the suspects around 100 grams of shabu worth P680,000, a black belt bag, a cellular phone, a motorcycle, and the buy-bust money.

Also arrested in another buy-bust operation was Victor Lauza, 33, a resident of Barangay Bagbag, Novaliches, Quezon City at around 1 a.m. on Nov. 24 on Sinfrosa St. in Barangay Bagbag, Novaliches, Quezon City.

Confiscated from the suspect were 50 grams of shabu with a street value of P340,000, one black sling bag, a cellular phone, and the buy-bust money.

In another operation, police apprehended Bryan Rivera, 23, in his residence in Barangay San Bartolome, Novaliches, Quezon City at around 10 a.m. on Nov. 24.

Confiscated from Rivera were 25 grams of shabu worth P170,000, a black coin purse, and the buy-bust money.

Operatives of QCPD Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) nabbed Carlo Ombrog, 27, and Jonalyn Lopez, 32, both residents of Barangay 186, Caloocan City, at around 10 p.m. on Nov. 19 on Mindanao Avenue, Extension in Barangay Greater Lagro, Quezon City.

They were nabbed after a police poseur-buyer successfully bought P8,000 worth of shabu from them.

The suspects yielded 62 grams of shabu worth P421,600, two cellular phones, and the buy-bust money.

Operatives of Northern Police District -Malabon Police Station (NPD-MCPS) arrested suspects identified as alias "Alex," 28, and alias "Joker," 38, in sting at the corner of Panghulo Road and Gutierrez St. in Barangay Panghulo, Malabon City.

Confiscated from the suspects were 50.5 grams of shabu worth P343,400, a brown coin purse, and the buy-bust money.

They will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, police said.
