Rains to persist across Luzon due to shear line, 'amihan'
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Thursday, Nov. 23, said Luzon may still experience scattered rains due to the prevalence of shear line and northeast monsoon or "amihan."

PAGASA said Aurora, Quezon, Camarines Norte, and Camarines Sur will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the shear line---an area where the cold northeasterly winds and warm easterlies converge.
PAGASA warned the public of threats from possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to heavy rains in the affected areas.
In Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, and Apayao, cloudy skies with light rains will be felt while Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to amihan.
Meanwhile, the rest of the country will also have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.
PAGASA said flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms in the affected areas.
