QC hospitals receive 'Most Outstanding' award from PHA

Two Quezon City Hospitals received the "Most Outstanding Hospitals" award from the Philippine Hospital Association (PHA) during its 74th Annual National Convention at The Manila Hotel on Wednesday, Nov. 22.

The PHA conducted its annual awarding event for all its hospital members to recognize and honor their excellence among hospitals and acknowledge their  contributions and service to the public.

The Quezon City General Hospital (QCGH) was recognized as the Most Outstanding Hospital for the government sector in the level three category. This also marks the hospital's third consecutive year in receiving the same award.

Meanwhile, the Rosario Maclang Bautista General Hospital (RMBGH) was also recognized as the Most Outstanding Hospital for the government sector in the level two category.

The RMBGH stated that the recognition received by the hospital is not only their achievement but a reflection of the collaborative efforts with the city government.

"This acknowledgment is not only a celebration of RMBGH's achievements but also a reflection of the collaborative efforts between the institution and the local leadership," it said.

It lauded the support of Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte in strengthening the hospital's capacity to make enduring contributions to the health and welfare of the community.

"The continued support of Mayor Joy Belmonte undoubtedly enhances the hospital's ability to make lasting contributions to the health and well-being of the community," RMBGH said.

"A sincere thank you to Mayor Joy Belmonte for her instrumental role in the success of RMBGH," it added.

The awards were received by QCGH's Medical Center Chief Doctor Josephine Sabando and RMBGH's Medical Center Chief Doctor Richard Cabotage.

According to the PHA, the candidates for the Most Outstanding Hospital award must fulfill specific parameters set by the association.

These parameters encompass Service, Training, Research, Governance, and Patient Safety, each allocated a certain number of points.
