Luzon may experience cloudy, rainy weather due to shear line, 'amihan'
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Thursday morning, Nov. 23 said the shear line will affect Southern Luzon, while the northeast monsoon will prevail over the rest of Luzon.

PAGASA said Palawan, Quezon, and Bicol Region will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms caused by the shear line—an area where the cold northeasterly winds and warm easterlies converge.
The public is warned of possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to heavy rains in the affected areas.
In Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, and Apayao, cloudy skies with light rains will be felt, while Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon or “amihan.”
Meanwhile, the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.
PAGASA said flash floods or landslides may also occur in high-risk areas during severe thunderstorms.
