The House had deployed last Monday five buses offering free rides to Filipinos affected by transport group Pagkakaisa ng mga Samahan ng Tsuper at Opereytor Nationwide's (PISTON) strike, which was supposed to end Wednesday.
However, transport group Manibela announced Tuesday, Nov. 21 that it will also hold its own transport strike from Wednesday to Friday. This led to the extension of the free rides service offered by the House and MMDA.
Artes said the five buses were deployed on the following routes: SUCAT-Baclaran, Pasig-Momumento-Quiapo, Philcoa-Doña carmen, Parañaque City to City Hall, and Antipolo-Quiapo.
