Don't even think of using vehicles bearing no.8 protocol plates.
This, after the House of Representatives and the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) reached an agreement for the latter to apprehend drivers of vehicles with the no.8 plates.
"Last night, the House of Representatives and the MMDA formally agreed to apprehend the drivers of vehicles bearing '8' plates and confiscate the expired or spurious plates," House Secretary General Reginald Velasco said in a statement Wednesday, Nov. 22.
"I met with Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) Acting Chairman Atty. Romando S. Artes, where we discussed that using unauthorized and illegal special plates should not be tolerated as it threatens public safety and undermines the integrity of the vehicle registration system," he added.
No. 8 license plates are special plates made for congressmen or House members.

None of the solons have been issued their protocol plates in the current 19th Congress, Velasco earlier said.
"The House leadership is committed to upholding the law and ensuring vehicle identification plates' proper and lawful use," Velasco further said.
