Nat Cosejo sizzled with 26 points as Emilio Aguinaldo finished its campaign on a high note and denied College of St. Benilde an outright Final Four spot with a 77-69 win in the NCAA Season 99 men’s basketball tournament at the FilOil EcoOil Centre in San Juan City on Wednesday, Nov. 22.

Cosejo drained three three-pointers, including two straight hits that complimented King Gurtiza's own dagger in the final frame that propelled the Generals to a 68-51 lead over the Blazers.

That cushion was enough to spoil Will Gozum's late-game heroics for Benilde which awaits the result of the second game between Jose Rizal University and Mapua to determine its fate.

With an 11-7 record, the Taft-based team would have to settle a playoff game for the last Final Four seat if the Bombers stun the Cardinals later in the afternoon.

A JRU loss, however, would send CSB to the semifinals.

Cosejo also registered 10 rebounds, three assists and a steal for EAC while team captain JP Maguliano backstopped him with 12 points and 10 rebounds as the Generals wrapped up the season with an even 9-9 record, the school's best finish since 2013.

“We’re really glad we got this win,” said EAC head coach Jerson Cabiltes.

Miggy Corteza topped the scoring for the Blazers with 19 points while Sangco added 12. Robi Nayve and Gozum chipped in 10 points apiece.
