Kapamilya songwriter-artist-producer Jonathan Manalo has been awarded the Gawad Dr. Pio Valenzuela: Pagkilala sa Larangan ng Musika this 2023.

The award is the highest honor the City Government of Valenzuela confers to honor outstanding citizens for excellence and service.

The ABS-CBN Music creative director received the award in a ceremony held last Nov. 12 at Casa de Polo in celebration of Valenzuela City’s 400th anniversary.

Apart from being a Gawad Dr. Pio Valenzuela awardee, Jonathan is also a National Commission for Culture & the Arts’ SUDI awardee for the decade 2011-2020.

He has produced and commercially released more than 200 albums with 75 multi-platinum and 100 Gold PARI Certifications. He is also the most streamed Filipino songwriter and record producer of all time with over 1.5 billion streams on Spotify of music he penned and produced.
