On Nov. 15, the Embassy of Belgium in the Philippines, led by Ambassador H.E. Michael Parys, celebrated the Belgian King's Day at Fairmont Makati. Together with this celebration, the ambassador also lauded the ongoing diplomatic ties between the Philippines and Belgium, which started in 1946 (and then later in 1949 when Belgium first opened its mission to the Philippines).

"Today's celebration is significant in expressing unity, friendliness and peace between other members of the society and friends of the state," says Amb. Parys. "We are truly grateful for everyone who is celebrating this event with us."

Alongside Amb. Parys, Department of Foreign Affairs Undersecretary for Administration Antonio Morales shared a toast to the Belgian King and to a more fruitful friendship between Belgium and the Philippines.
