Andrea Brillantes confesses: 'I don't want a boy...I need a man'

Kapamilya actress Andrea Brillantes revealed that her heartbreaks have been the major highlights of her year.

"Tinitignan ko itong 2023 na pinakamalas ako sa pag-ibig," said Andrea in an interview with Luis Manzano for his vlog "Luis Listens" which was uploaded on YouTube on Nov. 21. Pero swerte naman ako sa pag-ibig sa fans, friends, co-stars, management. Ito talaga ang pinakamalas ko sa pag-ibig. Pero grabe naman ang balik sa akin sa love itself."

When asked what she was looking for in a partner, Andrea said: "Ang dami ko laging sinasabi. Pinagdarasal ko pa nga. Dati hinahanap ko loyal. Iba kasi ang loyal sa faithful."

Andrea continued: "Ang loyal, kapag may dumaan na chicks, titingin yan pero doon pa rin siya sa mahal niya. Normal din naman yung ma-attract ka sa ibang tao. Doon ka pa rin sa mahal mo at wala kang gagawin sa feelings mo na yan. Pero ang faithful, kahit may chicks d'yan, titingin lang siya sa asawa niya. Kahit na nasa harap mo mga sexy na babae, hindi ka talaga titingin. Doon ka lang sa asawa mo. At hindi ka nakaka-feel ng kahit na anong attraction."

 

 

She also revealed other qualities she wants in a man. "Loyal, maalaga, gentleman, ma-respeto, tutoong lalaki. Yun ang hinihiling ko. A real man. Kasi I believe a real man knows how to settle. Alam nila kung paano makuntento sa isa. At isa lang talaga. Gusto ko ng one-woman man." 

"Ang dami ko ng list noon na dapat hindi ka liar hindi ka cheater. Ang totoong lalaki hindi yan nagsi-sinungaling talaga. Alam niya aminin yung katotohanan na buong-buo. Ang dami pang pasikot-sikot na oo aamin pero hindi lahat. Kumbaga, I don't want a boy. I want a man," she added.

In June, Andrea confirmed her breakup with basketball player Ricci Rivero. These days, Ricci is in a relationship with beauty queen-politician Leren Mae Bautista while Andrea remains single.
