26 arrested in Bulacan for various offenses


Fifteen drug suspects, seven wanted persons, and four illegal gamblers were arrested by the Bulacan Police in several anti-criminality operations conducted in the province on Monday, Nov. 20. 

According to the reports submitted to Col. Relly B. Arnedo, Bulacan police director, buy-bust operations were conducted by the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of the Meycauayan, Sta. Maria, Bocaue, San Jose Del Monte, Malolos, San Miguel, and Guiguinto City police which led to the arrests of 15 alleged drug peddlers.

Seized during the operations were 48 plastic sachets of suspected shabu and two plastic sachets of dried marijuana leaves with a standard drug price (SDP) of P144,000; assorted drug paraphernalia, and the buy-bust money. 

The arrested suspects and the confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the Bulacan Provincial Forensic Unit (PFU).

Criminal complaints for violations of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) against the suspects are now being prepared for filing in court. 

Meanwhile, tracker teams of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), Norzagaray, Hagonoy, Meycauayan, and Calumpit police, and 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC) City Police Station arrested seven wanted persons.

They were identified as Louis Andrei Bautista who was arrested for rape in Brgy. Minuyan, Norzagaray; Orchie Mae Rodrigo for theft in Brgy. San Mateo, Norzagaray; Charise Anne Santos for violation of City Ordinance No. 730 S-2019 (Comprehensive Smoke-Free Ordinance) in Brgy. San Isidro, Hagonoy; Angel Kenneth Cano for qualified theft in Brgy. Pantoc, Meycauayan City; Jemmy Estrada for violation of City Ordinance No. 730 S-2019 in Brgy. Panasahan, City of Malolos; alias "Rusco" for arbitrary detention in Calumpit; and Alberto Tabbu for rape in Brgy. Catulinan, Baliuag, all in the province of Bulacan.

The accused are presently under the custody of the arresting units/stations. 

Additionally, authorities of Meycauayan City Police Station conducted an anti-illegal gambling operation which led to the arrest of four individuals for playing "pusoy," an illegal card game.

Confiscated from the suspects were one set of playing cards and the bet money in different denominations.
