Shear line, 'amihan' to still bring rains in parts of PH ---PAGASA
Rain showers will still be expected in most parts of the country due to the prevalence of the shear line and the northeast monsoon or "amihan," said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Monday, Nov. 20.

PAGASA said Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, Caraga, Bicol Region, and MIMAROPA will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms caused by shear line---an area where the cold northeasterly winds and warm easterlies converge.
PAGASA said possible flash floods or landslides may occur due to moderate to heavy rains in the affected areas.
In Cagayan Valley, Apayao, and Quezon, cloudy skies with light rains will be felt while Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to amihan.
Meanwhile, the rest of Mindanao will also have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.
The public is warned of possible flash floods or landslides in high-risk areas during severe thunderstorms.
Moreover, weather specialist Benison Estareja said PAGASA monitors cloud clusters in the southern portion of Palawan in the Sulu Sea which may not develop into a Low Pressure Area (LPA) but may bring rains in Zamboanga Peninsula, Basilan, Sulu, Tawi-Tawi and Palawan in the following days.
