Parañaque LGU conducts payout for 'Tara Basa!' tutoring program beneficiaries

The Parañaque City government conducted the payout for 2,471 beneficiaries of “Tara Basa! Tutoring Program,” a cash-for-work initiative of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
The payout was held at the Don Bosco gymnasium and at Valley 5 covered court in Barangay San Antonio on Thursday, Nov. 16.
According to Mayor Eric Olivarez the beneficiaries are college students who will serve as tutors and youth development worker to help students from elementary to read.
Olivarez said the program will help college students earn extra money for their expenses in school.
He said the parents and guardians of elementary students belonging to indigent families are also part of the cash-for-work program.
