P3PWD Party-list nominee Rowena Guanzon has no problem with the result of the 2023 Miss Universe beauty pageant.
Although Guanzon and a multitude of other Filipinos wanted to see Michelle Dee of the Philippines take home the crown, the eventual winner, Sheynnis Palacios of Nicaragua, was certainly nobody to sneeze at.
"Hindi na ako mag protest (I will no longer protest)," the former Commission on Elections (Comelec) commissioner wrote in an X post on Sunday, Nov. 19.
"Miss Nicaragua looks spontaneously beautiful. And that walk. That walk,' Guanzon said of Palacios, a drop-dead gorgeous morena.

But that doesn't mean that Dee didn't have her moments during coronation night--Guanzon was particularly floored when she saw the Philippine bet in her gown.
"THAT BLACK GOWN of Michelle Dee ! Brava !" the party-list nominee and proud kakampink wrote in a separate X post. Dee finished in the top 10 in the pageant.
The Philippines has emerged in recent years as a beauty pageant powerhouse. It last won the Miss Universe title in 2018 with Catriona Gray.
