East and West zone concessionaires Manila Water Co. and Maynilad Water Services, Inc. reported that the dam level in Angat has reached its year-end goal.
In a statement on Monday, Nov. 20, Angat Dam achieved a water elevation of 210.42 meters.
The target level must be within 210 to 212 meters and should be maintained until the end of the year.
The Angat Dam is one of the largest dams that provide potable water and energy supply to Metro Manila.
If the levels remain within the said target, the water supply could last until the next El Niño phenomenon.
Additionally, water levels in Ipo Dam and La Mesa Dam increased by 0.68 meters and 0.04 meters respectively.
Ipo Dam gained 101.01 meters, within its maintaining level, while the La Mesa Dam gained 79.86 meters of water.
Maynilad has also suspended some of its daily water service disruptions in Caloocan, Malabon, Manila, Navotas, Quezon City and Valenzuela until the next advisory. (Gabriell Christel Galang)
