2 hurt as 2 vehicles collide in QC

Two persons were injured after a truck collided with a sports utility vehicle (SUV) along the southbound lane of Epifanio Delos Santos Avenue (EDSA) in Barangay Veterans Village, Quezon City, on Sunday, Nov. 19.

Police identified the two victims as Jonathan Roque Salazar, 42, a resident of Tugatog, Malabon City, and Edwin Zuniga Soria, 51, of Camp One Rosario, La Union.

Salazar was driving a Toyota Veloz sub compact SUV while Soria was driving an Isuzu Gigamax wing van truck when the accident happened.

According to the Quezon City Police District - Public Information Office (QCPD-PIO), the two vehicles were traveling along EDSA, from the Monumento heading to Cubao at around 8:13 p.m. when the truck hit the SUV.

The impact caused the truck to hit the concrete barrier in the area.

As a result, both vehicles incurred damages and the drivers suffered injuries.

The incident is still under investigation.
