Student raped, killed in Iligan City

ILIGAN CITY – A 17-year-old girl was allegedly raped and killed in her house in Purok 2, Barangay Tibanga, this city, before All Saints’ Day.

Police identified the victim as Kiara Aliana Camelotes Pansacala, a K-to-12 student.

Barangay Kagawad (councilor) Efren Mata reported to the police that the decomposing body of a teenage girl was found in the area.

Police proceeded to the area and found the victim lying on her bed, face up without underwear and bra.

Investigation said that neighbors informed the victim’s uncle, Alexander Pansacala, that bad odor was coming out of the victim’s room.

Alexander called the attention of Kiara and failed to answer the door. He opened the door and saw the decomposing body of the victim.

Iligan Police Station 5 chief Police Major Felix Rabago said they are awaiting the autopsy result and medicolegal examination to determine the cause of her death and if she was indeed raped.
