Happy mom, indeed!

Celebrity mom Iza Calzado enjoys motherhood after giving birth to her first daughter, Deia, in January 2022. Becoming a first-time mom, Iza admitted that it took her a lot of time to consider accepting projects.

During the grand media conference of Shake, Rattle & Roll Extreme at the Valencia Events Place in Quezon City on Nov. 14, Iza shared what made her say yes to the horror flick.

"Unang-una sa lahat, siyempre, Shake, Rattle & Roll siya. So, siyempre, malaking content ‘yun. Parang ‘uy, pwede’ kasi, ‘yun nga, like I said earlier, it is a strong franchise,” Iza said.

(First and foremost, it's Shake, Rattle & Roll. So, of course, that's big content. It's like, 'hey, it's possible' because, like I said earlier, it is a strong franchise)

She added that the convincing took more when she found that Noreen Capili wrote the story and Richard Somes directed it. And lastly, she said yes when the production told her it was only six shooting days.

"And then when they said na six days lang ako kailangan, tinitimbang ko talaga nun kung ano ang kaya kong gawin bilang nanay na ako, hindi mahirap umoo sa six days kasi actually it was also a way for me kung kakayanin ko magteleserye," Iza shared.

(And then, when they said that I was only needed for six days, I weighed what I could do as a mother; it wasn't difficult to agree to six days because, actually, it was also a way for me I could do a teleserye)

Iza emphasized that she did say yes to the project for herself as an artist and misses being on set.

"So I did it for myself, as an artist because I was also missing, you know, being on set. Pero not to the point na mako-compromise ko naman na matagal akong mawawala sa anak ko," she said.

Although the upcoming horror flick won't be joining this year's Metro Manila Film Festival, Iza is still grateful and happy to work on the film and assures the film is a perfect fit for all seasons.

"Nakaka-excite na hindi na namin patatagalin ang suspense ng horror. Uunahan na natin bago mag-Pasko, as you said Christmas came in early in the form of Shake, Rattle & Roll. I think kahit na anong season, kahit na ano, summer, kahit saan mo ilagay ang Shake, Rattle & Roll, meron at merong manonood nito dahil as a testament, napakalakas ng ugong online ng mga tao," Iza said.

(It's exciting that we won't prolong the suspense of the horror. Let's start before Christmas. As you said, Christmas came in early in the form of Shake, Rattle & Roll. I think no matter what season, no matter what summer, no matter where you put Shake, Rattle & Roll, there are and will be viewers because, as a testament, people's online buzz is solid)

Iza will be seen in the "Glitch" episode of SRR.

The other two episodes are "Rage" and "Mukbang" directed by Jerrold Tarog and Joey de Guzman.

The highly anticipated film "Shake" is made for a cinematic experience. The most amplified way to immerse the viewers in this epic horror is by catching it in theaters starting Nov. 29 in cinemas nationwide.
