After the whirlwind relationship with her former husband Raymart Santiago, award-winning actress Claudine Barretto is not opening up herself to potential relationships for now.

During the grand media conference of GMA's newest series, Lovers/Liars, at the Luxent Hotel in Quezon City on Nov. 15, Claudine admitted that it was her choice to be single for 11 years.

"Personally speaking, 11 years na talaga akong walang boyfriend, walang date or anything. Kung mapapansin niyo wala din naman talagang nachichismis sa akin. So talagang yung kids ko ang priority ko," Claudine said.

(Personally speaking, I haven't had a boyfriend, date or anything for 11 years. If you notice, no one is gossiping about me. So my kids are really my priority.)

According to Claudine, not having a romantic relationship for a long time was her choice. Although some guys attempted to, the actress shared that they were intimated since it was not her priority.

"Meron naman nagpaparamdam, pero siguro na iintimidate sila and siguro nakikita nila kasi na hindi yung ang priority ko," she added.

Although falling in love is not on her plate right now, Claudine said she is not closing the opportunity if someone catches her attention. She values a partner who loves her children above all.

"Open naman ako. Naniniwala naman ako na kapag para sayo talaga darating at darating yan sayo na pang lifetime. And yung hinahanap ko talaga is yung kayang mahalin yung mga anak ko, more than anything. Kung mahal ako, sana mas mahal yung mga anak ko," she said.

(I'm open to it. When it's really for you, it will come, and it will come to you for a lifetime. And I'm looking for someone who can love my children more than anything. If I love me, I hope my children love me more.)

When asked if she's willing to be friends with Raymart again, Claudine said: "Hindi possible."

TV comeback

After her last teleserye, Bakit Manipis ang Ulap? in 2016. Claudine is excited to appear on her first primtime teleserye after seven years.

Lovers/Liars highlights the world of empowered women who struggle with authenticity and vulnerability. But life takes a turn when they get confused between love and genuine love.

Claudine will play the role of Via Laurente, a successful businesswoman who gets entangled in an illicit affair with a younger man named Caloy, who Yasser Mata will portray.

During the media conference, the actress shared she looks forward to portraying the role for the series.

"Actually, na-excite ako kasi sa isang teleserye ko before, I was able to play a CEO pero walang illicit affair, walang ganun. Kaya ang difference nitong show is maraming secrets and lies, kaya mas na excite ako kasi dito mas matapang ako," she said.

(Actually, I was excited because in one of my teleseryes before, I was able to play a CEO but there was no illicit affair, nothing like that. The difference in this show is that there are many secrets and lies, so I'm more excited because here my character is braver)

Joining Claudine on the series are Shaira Diaz, Polo Ravales, Kimson Tan, Christian Vasquez, Michelle Vito, and Rob Gomez.

The series is made possible under the supervision of GMA First Vice President for Program Management Department Jose Mari Abacan and COO & Vice President of Regal Entertainment Inc. and Regal Multimedia Inc., Roselle Monteverde.

Don't miss the world premiere of Lovers/Liars," under the helm of director Crisanto Aquino, on Nov. 20, 9:35 p.m on GMA Telebabad.
