P3-M shabu seized in Talisay, Cebu City drug busts

Suspected shabu worth more than P3 million was seized in buy-bust operations in Talisay and Cebu cities on Thursday night, November 16.

In Barangay Tabunok, Talisay, two suspected drug pushers, Noe, 52, and Algen, 47, were arrested with 425 grams of shabu worth P2.8 million.

Noe is considered a high-value individual in the list of suspected drug pushers, police said.

Aside from drug charges, separate cases for violation of the election gun ban and illegal possession of firearms will also be filed against the suspect after a 9mm caliber pistol was also recovered from them, police said.

In Barangay Sawang Calero, Cebu City, Loreto Ecojedo Jr., 32, was nabbed with 15 grams of shabu with an estimated value of P103,000.

Ecojedo is a resident of Barangay Kinasang-an, Cebu City where a policeman was recently fatally shot by a drug suspect during a buy-bust operation.

Operatives of the Sawang Calero Police Station led by Major Francis Renz Talosig also seized a .45 caliber pistol from the suspect.
