Man saved by friends after hanging himself

A 37-year-old man was saved by his friends after hanging himself inside his house in Sampaloc, Manila on Saturday night, Nov. 18.

The Manila Police District-Sampaloc Police Station (MPD PS-4) said the man named "Mark" is now undergoing treatment at the University of Santo Tomas (UST) Hospital.

According to police report, Mark and his two friends were at the peak of their drinking session around 1:20 a.m. when he suddenly left and went home.

One of the man's drinking buddies later received a call from Mark's ex-girlfriend informing him that the victim told her that he was going to end his life.

They immediately went to Mark's house where they discovered him unconscious hanging with a nylon rope looped around his neck.

They immediately brought the victim down and rushed him to the hospital where he was revived.
