ZAMBOANGA CITY – Police arrested three colleagues for robbery in Barangay Tetuan here on Saturday, November 18.

The suspects were identified as Police Lt. Ariel J. Fernandez, 43, assigned to the Police Regional Office-Headquarters Support Unit; Police Senior Master Sgt. Alnajer A. Ynawat, 41, of the Zamboanga City Police Office Mobile Patrol Unit, and Patrolman Ryan R. Apostol, 31, of the 2nd Zamboanga Mobile Force Company.
They were arrested in separate operations in Barangays Putik and Cabaluay, this city.
Six heavily armed men entered the house of Al-Ghabid Umabong at around 9:30 p.m. on November 14.
Suspects identified themselves as policemen and served a warrant of arrest on Abdurajik Abdul, alias Maharlika Abdul, father of the victim.
They checked the rooms and carted away P200,000 in cash placed on top of a drawer, two vaults which contained P1.7 million and P200,000 in cash, and eight mobile phones.
Suspects fled on board a grey vehicle.
Police conducted hot-pursuit operations until the arrest of the three suspects. Their cohorts are still at large.
