Woman with shabu arrested in Taguig

Police operatives arrested a woman in a buy-bust operation in Taguig on Nov. 16.

The Taguig police’s Drug Enforcement Unit apprehended the suspect, identified only by the alias Jane, on Legazpi Street in Barangay Upper Bicutan, Taguig.

The Southern Police District (SPD) no longer releases the names of suspects to the media based on a new policy.

Police operatives confiscated nine plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, weighing 25 grams with a value of P170,000. The items will be turned over to the SPD forensic unit for laboratory examination.

They also seized P500 and P1,000 boodle money used as buy-bust money, and a cellular phone.

The suspect, who was arrested for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002), is detained at the Taguig police’s custodial facility.
