TACLOBAN CITY – A South Korean detainee escaped from the Abuyog Sub-Provincial Jail in Barangay Loyonsawang, Abuyog, Leyte on Thursday, November 16.
The escapee was identified as Gim Sihun, alias Kim Sihon, 28, a resident of Taguig City and a trustee of the facility.
He was last seen in the jail kitchen at about 3 a.m.
Kim was found missing when the duty prison guard conducted a head count at about 6 a.m.
The facility informed the Abuyog Municipal Police Station and manhunt operation was launched by the Abuyog Sub-Provincial Jail for Kim's arrest.
The public was advised to call the Abuyog Police Hotline at 9885986480 or 09171787201 and the Abuyog Sub-Provincial Jail at 09051003621 if they have information about the escapee.
