CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna – Suspected shabu worth P6.9 million was seized and a drug pusher was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Santo Niño, Biñan City, this province, on Thursday evening, November 16.

Police Regional Office 4-A Director Police Brig. Gen. Paul Kenneth Lucas identified the suspect as Norodin, 32, a resident of Barangay Langgam, San Pedro City, Laguna, and listed as a high-value individual by the Laguna Police Provincial Office.
Seized from the suspect by the Laguna Drug Enforcement Unit-Provincial Special Operation Unit (PSOU) and Biñan City Police Station was one kilo of shabu with an estimated market value of P6.9 million. He also yielded the boodle money and a car.
“I am proud of the success of our drug operatives that led to the arrest of the suspect and confiscation of a huge quantity of illegal drugs. Rest assured that we will continue our investigation to trace the source of this enormous quantity of drugs and we will intensify our campaign against the proliferation of illegal drugs in the region to prosecute those who are involved in the illegal drug trade,” Lucas said.
The suspect faces charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
