DepEd to hold suppliers' forum to address issues, concerns on school furniture procurement
To address the issues and concerns on the procurement of school furniture, the Department of Education (DepEd) announced on Friday, Nov. 17, the conduct of a suppliers’ forum.

In an advisory, DepEd announced that it will hold a School Furniture Suppliers Forum on Nov. 22, from 9 a.m. to 12 noon at the Bulwagan ng Karunungan, Rizal Building, DepEd, Pasig City.
The activity can also be viewed online via DepEd Website and YouTube channel, the agency said.
“This activity aims to provide updates to suppliers on the latest designs and technical specifications proposed to be used by the department starting CY [Calendar Year] 2024,” DepEd said.
“This will also assist our Office to address the issues and concerns on the procurement of school furniture,” it added.
Related to this, DepEd advised those who will be attending on a face-to-face scheme that there will be “limited slots” available due to the limited capacity of the venue.
