Carmona lights up for its first Christmas as a component city

CARMONA CITY, Cavite – The local government unit ushered in the holiday season with a Christmas lighting ceremony on Thursday, Nov. 16.

The City Plaza and the City Hall glimmered in a colorful lights display with the theme, Tanglaw 2023: Ang Liwanag at Sigla ng Pasko sa City of Carmona.
Carmona is celebrating its first Christmas season as a component city after a plebiscite that ratified its conversion from a municipality in July.
Present during the ceremony were Cavite 5th District Rep. Roy M. Loyola, Mayor Dahlia A. Loyola, and local officials.

Hundreds of residents who attended the lighting ceremony took turns posing for photos in the holiday display.
Several local artist groups performed during the program, including Carmona Performing Arts Group, Carmona Singing Ambassadors, and Carmona Youth Symphonic Band.

The city government also organized a Christmas Trade Fair and Exhibit beside the plaza to accommodate holiday visitors.
