Village dad found dead in La Union motel

BAUANG, La Union – A 65-year-barangay councilor was found dead in a motel in Barangay Pagdalagan Sur here on Monday, November 13.

Police identified the victim as Barangay Tanguigan Sur, San Fernando City, La Union Councilor Oscar Guzman Balicha.

Balicha was found lying on the floor inside Room C of the Golden Park Inn by a room attendant, Sabel Mugas.

The victim was taken to a hospital in San Fernando City where he was declared dead.

Police said surveillance footage showed a woman arrived on board a tricycle and entered the victim’s room at 11:30 a.m. She left the room alone on foot at 20 minutes later at 11:50 a.m.

Balicha’s family refused an autopsy on their patriarch.
