Parañaque LGU to distribute fire extinguishers, sports equipment to public schools
The Parañaque city government will distribute to public schools fire extinguishers, sports and other school equipment donated by the Meralco Resorts Foundation Corporation.
According to Parañaque City Mayor Eric Olivarez, the Meralco Resorts Foundation Corporation headed by Vice-President Armin Raquel Santos donated to the city government a total 2,000 fire extinguishers for distribution to all public schools in the city.

Olivarez said that aside from the extinguishers, the city government also received 34 units of computer systems servicing equipment, 36,000 pieces of book for elementary students,12,000 set of uniforms and 188 boxes of equipment for sepal takraw sports.
He said Department of Education School Division Superintendent Dr. Nerissa Losaria joined in the turn-over ceremony held at the Jaime Ferrer Hall, Schools Division Office located in Barangay San Dionisio on Wednesday, Nov. 15
The mayor said the donated fire extinguishers will be turned over to all public schools in the city for their use in case of emergency.
Olivarez said the 34 units of computer systems servicing equipment will be for use of students in their computer laboratories to help them in media literacy.
The mayor thanked the Meralco Reosrts Foundation Corporation, saying the donations will help the city government in uplifting the quality of education of students in public schools.
