Clown-magician recovers stolen costumes, puppet through help of Muntinlupa CCTV

A man who works as a clown and magician for a living thanked the Muntinlupa City government and police after he was able to recover his stolen costumes and puppet. 

Johnver Enrique lost his things he used for his profession in front of a convenience store in Muntinlupa on Nov. 12. 

Enrique told Manila Bulletin that he just came from holding an event in Lucena and made a stop in Muntinlupa to have a rest before going home to Caloocan.

He said he stopped by at about 10:30 p.m. at a convenience store along National Road in Barangay Putatan, Muntinlupa. 

At the convenience store, he called his child on his cellphone and was startled when his motorcycle helmet fell on the floor. It was when he discovered that his things including costumes, puppet, stand and shoes, all estimated to be worth P10,000, were gone. 

When he arrived at home in Caloocan, he posted on Facebook about what happened and tagged the Muntinlupa City government page.

On Nov. 14, Mayor Ruffy Biazon personally called Enriquez and told him that his things were recovered. 

Biazon said through the city’s closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage, it was learned that a street dweller took Enriquez’s bag. The mayor ordered the Muntinlupa police to investigate the matter. 

“Mabilis na naresolba ang insidente sa tulong ng city-wide CCTV natin, at sa mabilis na aksyon ng ating kapulisan. Kinontact natin si Johnver para kunin ang kanyang gamit. Hindi na niya kailangang mangambang hindi magpapatuloy ang kanyang hanapbuhay (The incident was quickly resolved through the help our city-wide CCTV and the immediate action of our police. We contacted Johnver to get his things. He no longer needed to worry about being unable to continue his livelihood),” said Biazon. 

In a Facebook post, Enriquez thanked Biazon and the Muntinlupa police for the big help in recovering his things. 

“Maraming maraming slamat Po sa inyo Mayor at sa lahat ng kapulisan Po sa muntinlupa sobrang laking tulong Po Neto sakin Lalo na Po sa hanap Buhay ko Po na Isang Magician Clown. Makakapag event na Po ulit Ako salut ok sa lahat ng kapulisan sa mabilis na na recover lahat Po ng gamit ko. GOD BLESS PO AND MORE MORE BLESSING PO (Thank you so much to you Mayor and to all our police officers in Muntinlupa. This is a big help for me especially for my livelihood as a magician clown. I can now do events again. Salute to all police officers for the fast recovery of all my things. God bless and more, more blessings to you),” he wrote.
