DepEd to lead celebration of 2023 National Students' Day on Nov. 17
To help cultivate the love of country and social responsibility among Filipino learners, the Department of Education (DepEd) on Thursday, Nov. 16, announced the celebration of this year’s National Students’ Day (NSD).

“This celebration will harness the diversity and uniqueness of our learners, providing them with a platform to actively pursue their interests,” DepEd said in a Facebook post.
To be held on Nov. 17, DepEd said the 2023 NSD is per Republic Act 11369 or the “National Students' Day Act.”
DepEd said this year’s NSD is anchored on the theme, “Pilipinong Mag-aaral: Huwaran ng Kagitingan, may MATATAG na Paninindigan."
The NSD, DepEd explained, is an annual event that aims to “cultivate love of country and social responsibility and commemorate the bravery of learners worldwide.”
“Regardless of background, every learner is recognized, valued, and celebrated,” DepEd added.

As it cultivates a “new generation of leaders, thinkers, and proud Filipinos,” the agency enjoined all concerned to join the celebration of the 2023 NSD to be streamed via DepEd Philippines.
“Together, let's make National Students' Day 2023 a day of inspiration and boundless possibilities!” DepEd said.
The NSD 2023, DepEd said, is made possible by the Office of the Undersecretary for Operations, through the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Operations and Bureau of Learner Support Services—Learner Formation Division.
The conduct of the celebration is also in collaboration with the National Youth Commission, the Local Government of Davao del Sur, DepEd Davao Region, the Schools Division Office of Davao del Sur, and the National Federation of Supreme Secondary Learner Government.
