Parañaque LGU starts distribution of 'Pamaskong Handog,' cash gift sto senior citizens

The city government of ParaÃ±aque started the distribution of "Pamaskong Handog" and cash gifts to 3,409 senior citizens on Wednesday, Nov. 15, Mayor Eric Olivarez said.

Olivarez said 1,995 of the 3,409 senior citizens are residents of Barangay Tambo and 1,414 of Barangay Don Galo.

He said aside from the "Pamaskong Handog" containing Noche Buena package like spaghetti pack, luncheon meat, corned beef, vienna sausage, coffee, fruit cocktail and milk, the city government also distributed cash gifts.

The mayor said senior citizens aged 60 to 74 years old will receive P500 each; 75 to 84 years old to get 1,000; and those aged 85 and above will get P2,500.

Olivarez said senior citizens who failed to arrive on the scheduled date of the release may coordinate or visit the Office of the Senior Citizens Affairs on the second floor of ParaÃ±aque City Hall on the following dates: Nov. 29 and 30; Dec. 1, 2 and 4 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.; or call cellphone number 0927-199-4824 and telephone number 8820-7542.
