More than 100 Bulakenyo farmers attended the Agricultural Extension Workers (AEW) Summit 2023 held at Merryland Integrated Farm and Training Center in Barangay Taal, Pulilan, Bulacan on Tuesday, Nov. 14.
The activity was established by the Provincial Government of Bulacan headed by Bulacan Governor Daniel R. Fernando and Vice Governor Alexis C. Castro.
The forum was led by the Provincial Agriculture Office (PAO) under Gloria SF. Carillo and municipal agriculturists in the province.

Carillo said the activity, themed "Dynamic Resilient Farming: Agriculture in the Age of Climate Transformation," aimed to increase the awareness level of the agriculture workers and widen their knowledge on farming and fishing industry.
Discussed by the agricultural experts during the summit were the Programs and Projects for Enhanced Agricultural Extension, Programs and Projects for Supporting Fisheries Extension, Provincial Agriculture and Fisheries Extension System, Challenges and Opportunities on Agricultural Extension, and Ways Forward on Effective Agriculture and Fisheries Extension.
Vice Governor Castro, the guest of honor, thanked and recognized Bulakenyo farmers and fishermen, as well as the city and municipality agricultural offices in Bulacan.
"Maraming salamat po, dahil sa inyong pagsisikap ay nabigyan ninyo ng pag-asa ang lalawigan ng Bulacan, bagama't may mga balakid sa industriyang ito ay patuloy pa rin ang ating pagsulong," (Thank you, because through your hardwork you've given hope province of Bulacan hope, despite of obstacles in this industry our development continued)," Castro said.
The Bulacan vice governor added that he and Governor Daniel R. Fernando will not give up on providing time and assisting the people who would like to support their appeal to improve the agriculture industry in the province.
