The Navotas City Police Station (NCPS) arrested on Tuesday, Nov. 14, a man who allegedly stabbed and killed a 17-year-old boy in Barangay Daanghari, Navotas City on Monday evening, Nov. 13.
Police identified the suspect as alias "Jerome," 21, a resident of Bldg. 2 Unit 213, Leongson St., Brgy. San Roque, Navotas City.
Col. Mario Cortes, NCPS chief, said the suspect stabbed the victim in the abdomen due to personal grudge at around 9 p.m. on Monday at Tulay Uno, Daang Hari St., Brgy Daang Hari, Navotas City.
Prior to the killing, the suspect and the victim engaged in a brawl after they met in a birthday party in the area.
The victim was rushed to a hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.
Meanwhile, the suspect was arrested by NCPS operatives at around 12:10 a.m. on Tuesday after a concerned citizen reported to them that he went to a hospital to also get medical treatment due to stab wounds in the armpit.
The suspect is undergoing treatment at Tondo Medical Center. He was charged with homicide before the Navotas City Prosecutor's Office, police said.
