I've never used number 8 plate, says the real Congressman Co

Former Ako Bicol Party-list Rep. Christopher Co has denied ownership of the white Toyota Land Cruiser that was flagged Wednesday morning, Nov. 15 by Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) traffic enforcers.

Former Ako Bicol Party-list Rep. Christopher Co has denied ownership of the white Toyota Land Cruiser that was flagged Wednesday morning, Nov. 15 by Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) traffic enforcers.

This, after the vehicle entered the EDSA bus lane, which was a no-no.

Aside from not owning the particular vehicle, Co also said that he has never used a car bearing the no.8 protocol plate for congressmen.

"Kahit noong ako’y nanunungkulan pa bilang kinatawan ng Ako Bicol Party-list, hindi ako gumagamit ng special plates,” he said.

(Even when I was still Ako Bicol Party-list representative, I never used special plates.)

Co asked the MMDA to conduct a deep investigation on the incident and hold accountable those proven to have violated traffic rules.
