DSWD denies online survey for unemployment financial aid

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) denied a circulating information that it would offer financial assistance to jobless people who could complete a survey.
In a post on its official Facebook page on Wednesday, Nov. 15, DSWD said the “suspicious” links to the regristration form have been circulating on Facebook and Messenger.
“The link circulating on Messenger and Facebook is not true that the DSWD has unemployment financial assistance worth $1000 by answering a survey questionnaire,” DSWD said.
“The DSWD does not ask the public to answer survey questionnaires in exchange for unemployment financial assistance,” it added.
In the event that aid is required, it can be obtained via the DSWD's Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS), the department pointed out.
AICS is one of the social welfare services of the DSWD that provides medical assistance, burial, transportation, education, food, or financial assistance for other support services or needs of a person or family.
DSWD advised the public to “not click on any link sent to your Messenger that is not from the official DSWD Facebook page.”
“Be careful and verify what you read online first. Don't simply believe the content that doesn't come from credible and reliable sources,” it warned.
